Strawberry Margarita
vegan, gluten-free, grain-free, nut-free, refined sugar-free, soy-free
Occasionally when we'd go to a Tex-Mex restaurant when I was a kid, I remember getting a strawberry margarita (virgin of course!) as a special treat. There's something about the combination of strawberry and lime that is irresistibly refreshing! Featured below is my healthy take on the classic, but if you want to make it an adult beverage, feel free to add tequila in place of some of the water. This whole fruit version will still be WAY healthier than the artificial strawberry flavor and refined sugar-laden usual version. I think it tastes better this way, too!

*Substitute 1/2 cup tequila, 1/2 cup water to spike it! **We're not simply juicing these limes, but using the whole fruit except the peels. Carefully cut away the peels, chop the limes in half and drop them into the blender. ***If your dates are very dry, try soaking them in warm water for 10-20 minutes first to soften them. |
